B.C. companies gather in Kamloops to celebrate First Nations economic development
KAMLOOPS – The Reach Group is an organization based in Kamloops, with the goal of supporting capacity growth and economic reconciliation efforts for indigenous communities across Canada.
On Thursday, companies from across the province gathered for an event celebrating the economic growth that companies and First Nations have seen over the last year.
“Just last year, we pursued over $1.9 billion in opportunity,” said Jeff Mayer, a partner with The Reach Group. “Our portfolio of clients were awarded over $750 million in contracts. All of which included First Nations economic development vehicles in some capacity.”
