Rail Safety Week urges Canadians to think twice around railway tracks

KAMLOOPS — A national campaign is reminding Canadians one wrong decision around railway tracks can have life-changing consequences. This week marks Rail Safety Week, with Operation Lifesaver Canada urging people to think twice before approaching tracks and crossings.

Rail Safety Week runs from September 21 to 27, with this year’s campaign themed, “There’s no undo button”.

The goal is to prevent collisions at railway crossings and reduce trespassing on railway property. Operation Lifesaver Canada says the campaign is an opportunity to reinforce safety messages that are important year round.
