Vehicle incident closes northbound lanes of Coquihalla Highway north of Merritt overnight

UPDATE (9:45 a.m.): DriveBC says the vehicle fire in the northbound lanes of the Coquihalla Highway north of Merritt has been cleared.

EARLIER: MERRITT, B.C. — A stretch of northbound traffic on the Coquihalla Highway north of Merritt remains closed early Monday (Sept. 21) morning.

DriveBC first reported of a vehicle incident on Highway 5 north of Grimshire Road, about 15 kilometres north of Merritt, at around 9:35 p.m. Sunday.
