Cougars fall to Blazers 4-3, finish WHL pre-season without a win

KAMLOOPS — The Prince George Cougars fell to the Kamloops Blazers on the road Sunday (Sept. 13) night 4-3 to conclude their exhibition schedule.

The Cougars lost all four of their games in the Western Hockey League (WHL) pre-season. Tre Peck led the Cougars in pre-season scoring with two goals and three points in two games. The 19-year-old forward comes to Prince George after scoring 17 goals and 47 points in 52 games with the Spruce Grove Saints of the British Columbia Hockey League.

According to the WHL’s roster page online, the Cougars still have 30 players on their roster – 18 forwards, 10 defencemen and two goaltenders – ahead of the regular season.

The Cougars welcome the Penticton Vees to CN Centre Friday, Sept. 18 at 7:00 p.m. for their home opener.
