Kamloops Fire Rescue puts out notable motorhome fire outside North Shore store

KAMLOOPS — A motorhome was found fully engulfed in flames on the North Shore. 

Kamloops Fire Rescue (KFR) responded to the parking lot behind Surplus Herby’s on Tranquille Road at around 12:00 a.m. Friday (Sept. 11).

Speaking to CFJC Today, KFR Platoon Chief Jim Gorman says the motorhome was far enough away from the building that the fire didn’t spread. Crews with an engine from Fire Hall No. 2 put out the fire. 

From there, Gorman says Kamloops RCMP arrived on scene and spoke with the motorhome owners.
