Snoop Dogg To Host 2026 MTV Video Music Awards In Los Angeles

Snoop Dogg will host the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards, marking the show’s return to the West Coast for the first time in nine years. The Long Beach native is a 13-time VMAs nominee with three wins. “MTV and the VMAs have been part of my story since the beginning,” Snoop said. “To come back now and host the VMAs, all these years later, that’s a full-circle moment for me.” The show will be the sixth consecutive year hosted by a hip-hop artist. The 2026 VMAs air live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 27, on CBS, simulcast on MTV and streaming on Paramount+. Separately, Nirvana will receive this year’s Video Vanguard Award.
