Dolly Parton Tribute, Noah Kahan ‘In Memoriam’ Song Among Emmy Plans

Producers confirmed Thursday that the 78th Emmy Awards will feature a tribute to Dolly Parton, though details are being kept under wraps. Noah Kahan will also perform “Bridge Over Troubled Waters” during the In Memoriam segment, a song he chose personally. The ceremony will also honor Michael J. Fox with the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award. Celebrity presenters include Sarah Michelle Gellar, David Boreanez, Odessa A’zion, Linda Cardellini, Macaulay Culkin, Alan Cumming, Sally Field, Jon Hamm, David Harbour, Marcello Hernández, Kate Jackson, Peter Krause, Cheryl Ladd, Dan Levy, Julianna Margulies, Annie Murphy, Niecy Nash-Betts, Keke Palmer, Amanda Peet, Amy Poehler, Florence Pugh, Rachel Sennott, Jaclyn Smith, and Zendaya. Mariska Hargitay will host the gala at the Peacock Theater. The 78th Emmys air live September 14th on NBC and Peacock.
