Nicolas Cage’s Malibu Mansion Damaged By Massive Sinkhole

A massive 30-foot by 30-foot sinkhole has opened outside a Malibu property reportedly belonging to Nicolas Cage. The crater appeared after the driveway collapsed following heavy rain linked to Tropical Storm Marie, which brought high waves and flooding to Southern California. A nearby resident told Los Angeles magazine an 8-foot sinkhole began forming Monday, but “all hell broke loose” overnight as further ground gave way. The collapse swallowed much of the driveway, leaving broken asphalt, concrete, and debris. Emergency services responded after the structural failure caused a gas leak. Malibu officials declared at least five nearby homes unsafe. Cage purchased the home in 2024.
