Lillooet ER to close for 25 hours, fifth closure of 2026

LILLOOET, B.C. — There will be a 25 hour closure of the emergency room at the Lillooet Hospital and Health Centre this week.

Interior Health says Lillooet area residents will be without emergency services from 7:00 a.m. Friday (Sept. 11) to 8:00 a.m. Saturday (Sept. 12), and patients are being to access emergency care at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops.

This is the fifth ER closure in Lillooet this year, and the second this month.

As has been the case during previous emergency room closures, Interior Health says people should call 9-1-1 if they need emergency care, or HealthLink BC at 8-1-1 if they aren’t sure if they need to head to the emergency room.
