Kamloops woman nabbed for driving van reported stolen out of Richmond

KAMLOOPS — A 26-year-old Kamloops woman was charged after allegedly driving a van that had been stolen out of Richmond in late August. 

Kamloops RCMP say Shaina Juarez is charged with possession of stolen property and driving while prohibited. 

The charges stem from around 9:30 p.m. Friday (Sept. 4) when RCMP say officers were patrolling the 1600-block of Centennial Drive in Brocklehurst. It was there where police say they spotted a van bearing stolen license plates. 

“While officers remained in the area, the vehicle was seen leaving and a traffic stop was conducted on nearby Fleetwood Ave,” Staff Sgt. Janelle Shoihet states.
