KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Blazers continued to put in overtime hours during the 2026 Western Hockey League (WHL) pre-season.
The Blazers fell to the Penticton Vees on the road Tuesday (Sept. 8) 4-3, hours after trimming their pre-season roster to 28 players.
Kamloops opened the scoring nearly eight minutes in when forward River Arnason put home his second goal of the pre-season. The 18-year-old rookie from the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) has scored in two straight games.
The Vees responded late and added another goal early in the second period to take a 2-1 lead going into the third period.
