‘When you have polarization, compromise goes out the window’; Milobar takes aim at third-party status
KAMLOOPS — The Green Party will no longer hold the status of third party in the B.C. Legislature this fall, as MLAs return to Victoria on October 5.
“We want to be clear that our intention is to form a new party,” said MLA Ian Paton on August 24, 2026.
Nearly two weeks ago, Kamloops Centre MLA Peter Milobar and Paton stood on the legislature lawn to announce the creation of a new political party in B.C. That yet-to-be named entity is now set to hold third party status.
