Dollywood Adds Waterfall, New Features To Honor Dolly Parton
Dollywood theme park in Sevierville, Tennessee, is unveiling new features to honor the late Dolly Parton. Park officials announced plans to add a new character called the Dream Maker, inspired by Parton’s Imagination Library program. A waterfall and stained glass windows will also be added to a chapel inside the park, reflecting her deep faith. Visitors will find kiosks to share personal memories of Parton, with additional exhibits coming to The Dolly Parton Experience. Meanwhile, the city of Sevierville will place markers throughout for a self-guided walking tour of locations significant to the singer and philanthropist. Parton grew up in rural Sevier County and transformed Dollywood into the county’s largest employer and a major tourist destination.
