Wolfpack Men’s Soccer team looks to capitalize off hot start in new Canada West campaign

KAMLOOPS — Last season was a tough go for the TRU men’s soccer program. The Wolfpack ended the season with just four wins during the Canada West campaign.
After a strong 2026 opening weekend, which included scrappy 1-0 victories over the UVic Vikes and the Fraser Valley Cascades, the team is now halfway to its win total from last year.
“You have to fight for every ball, every time the ball goes into midfield, every time there’s a long ball, it’s just a big fight,” said Lachlan Will, who assisted on TRU’s first goal of the season. “I’m sure if you saw the games, it wasn’t pretty football. But we won the battles we needed to win, finished the chances we needed to finish and came out on top.”
