Olivia Rodrigo’s Daisy Chain Fields Festival Raises $20 Million For Women’s Charities

Olivia Rodrigo’s inaugural all-women music festival, Daisy Chain Fields, has raised $20 million for women’s charities after philanthropist Melinda French Gates matched the event’s initial $10 million. French Gates announced the contribution via Instagram, writing that she was “so inspired by Olivia Rodrigo’s vision.” Rodrigo, 23, welcomed French Gates onstage during her headlining set August 29 at Great Park in Irvine, California, calling her “one of the most inspiring women I’ve ever met.” Beneficiary organizations include Planned Parenthood, the Center for Reproductive Rights, and the National Women’s Law Center, among others. Rodrigo personally curated the lineup, which featured Chappell Roan, Doechii, Mitski, Stevie Nicks, and Sarah McLachlan, with all artists performing for free.
