Kamloops man wins $500K one year after donating $1 million to supportive cancer care services
KAMLOOPS — Lady Luck has been good to a Kamloops man who founded a group that donated $1 million toward supportive cancer care services in the city last year.
According to British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC), Kamloops resident and business owner Anthony Salituro won a $500,000 Extra prize during Friday’s (Aug. 21) Lotto Max draw.
Salituro bought his lucky ticket at the BG Fuels on West Columbia Street in Kamloops.
“I was inside the grocery store. I was shocked and let the retailer know that I thought I won something after I validated in the self-scanner,” Salituro said in a news release issued Thursday (Aug. 27).
