SD73 prepares to welcome students back Sept. 8
KAMLOOPS — With the latest possible start date this year, back to school is still two weeks away for families across the Kamloops-Thompson School District (SD73).
But while students enjoy their last few days of freedom, work is underway at the district and in schools to prepare of the year ahead. This fall, SD73 will see the first new school opened since Pacific Way Elementary in 2021, a host of catchment changes, and new leadership at the helm.
Bells will soon be ringing, parents will be breathing a sigh of relief, and school zones will be back in effect on Sept. 8 as students return to classrooms.
