Kamloops RCMP arrest three, recover stolen truck

KAMLOOPS — Three people were arrested and a stolen truck was recovered by Kamloops RCMP earlier this month. 

On Aug. 7, RCMP say the driver, Gregory O’Neil, was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property $5,000. He remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing. 

As part of that investigation, RCMP arrested two others: Kale Skjeie, who was wanted on warrants from Salmon Arm, and Chasidy Gallant, who was wanted on an outstanding warrant. 

A time and location of the arrests were not provided in a news release issued Tuesday (Aug. 25). 

“This was an exceptionally productive week for our Crime Reduction Unit,” Kamloops RCMP Supt. Jeff Pelley states. “Their efforts resulted in the arrest of multiple wanted individuals, and the recovery of stolen property.  These outcomes reflect our ongoing commitment to proactively targeting offenders and improving public safety throughout Kamloops.”

Elsewhere, on Aug. 4, RCMP say they arrested Kirklen Petkau-Desjardin, who was wanted on several outstanding warrants. Police say he was held in custody and has since been sentenced for several offences on two court files.
