Resiliency Centre Care Box helping returning Clinton-area evacuees
CLINTON, B.C. — The Thompson-Nicola Regional District (TNRD) said the Resiliency Centre’s ‘Care Box’ is supporting Clinton-area residents who have returned home after weeks of being evacuated due to the Pear Lake wildfire.
The TNRD said the Care Box donations were thanks to Horsting’s Farm Market, Blackwell Dairy, and other donors.
“Today, care boxes were provided to 150 households at the Clinton Resiliency Centre for residents in Clinton and surrounding areas. Each box contained approximately 30-40 pounds of fresh food and produce, and in total about 170 households were provided food donated by Horstings,” said the TNRD.
“Well over 100 flats of water were also provided. These food box donations are especially helpful for people continuing to clean up and restock after returning home in recent days.”
