Lingering air quality warnings across southern B.C. to remain into the weekend
KAMLOOPS — Lingering wildfire smoke is contributing to prolonged air quality warning heading into the weekend, with yellow and orange level warnings across much of southern B.C., including the Kamloops area.
Environment Canada officials said yellow level warnings are in effect for the Kamloops, 100 Mile, Williams Lake, and Shuswap areas locally
The warning also stretches into the northern Cariboo, Okanagan, Fraser and the Kootenays.
Meanwhile, an orange-level air quality warning is in effect for areas around Merritt, the Fraser Canyon, parts of the Lower Mainland and the Anderson Lake areas.
