Lemonade Day invites Kamloops residents to support local young entrepreneurs
KAMLOOPS — Kamloops residents can help young entrepreneurs in their journey to learn how to run their own business and get a cool drink on a hot day with Lemonade Day on Friday (Aug. 21).
Community Futures spokesperson Jennifer Brown-Binns said the program is for youth in kindergarten to grade 8 to learn skills lime branding, marketing, customer service and financial literacy.
“The program is teaching kids how to build a business, they walk through all of the steps of building a business,” said Brown-Binns.
“Once a youth registers, they then work through the Lemonade Day curriculum which they can access through the Lemonade Day app. It’s a super fun, interactive, animated experience, where they follow Lemy the Lemon through 21 lessons.”
