Team Canada standout Evans teaches Interior Outlaws lacrosse clinic in Kamloops
KAMLOOPS – Erica Evans, who won silver with Canada at the World Lacrosse Women’s Championship earlier this month in Tokyo, was in Kamloops on Tuesday [Aug. 18] to teach an Interior Outlaws all-girls clinic.
“Just growing the game,” said Evans, who won the inaugural Women’s Lacrosse League Championship last week with the Maryland Charm. “Lacrosse is one of Canada’s national sports and I think it kind of gets overlooked a lot.”
The Outlaws offer youth lacrosse programming, including clinics and travel teams, some of which compete in sixes, an outdoor version of the game that will feature at the 2028 Olympic Summer Games in Los Angeles.
