Kamloops RCMP seek assistance in identifying suspect after North Shore dumpster fire

KAMLOOPS, B.C. — Kamloops RCMP are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect following a dumpster fire on the North Shore.

Police were called to the area of Wilson Street and Tranquille Road at approximately 12:46 A.M. Wednesday (Aug. 19) after reports of the blaze.

Once law enforcement arrived, an attempt to extinguish the fire was carried out, and followed by patrolling the surrounding area. Kamloops Fire Rescue (KFR) later arrived to promptly put out the remaining flames.

RCMP released surveillance images showing an alleged suspect arriving on a bicycle, while wearing a backpack and hat.
