Kamloops RCMP are seeking witnesses to an assault

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP are seeking witnesses to an assault in the downtown core back on August 14.

“In an effort to advance the investigation, police are asking witness to come forward in helping to identify the alleged suspect who was described as a non-white man with a cane wearing a blue and white shirt,” said Corporal Dana Napier, spokesperson for the Kamloops RCMP Detachment.

In the early hours of August 14, near the 300-block of Victoria Street a man was assaulted with a weapon which resulted in non-life-threatening injuries and the man being transported to the hospital by BC Ambulance.  The incident originated from an interaction between the victim and another person not involved in the alleged assault.

Anybody with information or footage of the altercation is asked to contact the Kamloops RCMP.
