RCMP renew video plea related to suspicious North Shuswap fires, provide timestamps
CELISTA, B.C. — RCMP in Chase are renewing their plea for surveillance video related to an ongoing investigation of suspicious fires in the North Shuswap, this time with more specifics.
In a news release issued early Friday (Aug. 14) morning, RCMP say investigators are interested in video showing pedestrians, vehicles or other activity on
- Squilax-Anglemont Road in Celista or Magnay Bay between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 5
- Fraser Road and Estate Road in Anglemont between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 5
- Squilax-Anglemont Road in Scotch Creek or Celista between 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 7
“Investigators have not identified any confirmed eyewitnesses who observed the fires being deliberately set. Several persons of interest have been identified in connection with the fires; however, no arrests have been made at this time,” Chase RCMP state.
