Clinton and area residents to return home Saturday; cleanup continues along Pear Lake wildfire
CLINTON, B.C. — Hundreds of people displaced by the Pear Lake wildfire will soon be able to return to the Clinton area.
However, officials are still warning residents that the encounter of continued smoke, firefighting equipment and outlying properties without power are all reasonable expectations.
The Thompson-Nicola Regional District (TNRD) and the Village of Clinton held a virtual information session Friday (Aug. 14) to elaborate on the re-entry plan, process and ongoing recovery work.
