Kamloops reports 16 per cent reduction in water use after Drought Level 4 restrictions implemented
KAMLOOPS — Enhanced water use restrictions have been in place in Kamloops for a little over a week, and the city says it is already seeing the desired outcome.
The Drought Level 4 watering restrictions took effect last Monday (July 20), and Robert Wagner, the City of Kamloops’ Utility Services Manager, says it already appears to be working.
“We’re down 16 per cent of normal usage of what we would have at this time last year,” Wagner told CFJC Today. “It’s really good news.”
