‘It takes a whole bunch of stress off’: Interior wildfire evacuee pets given temporary shelter in Kamloops
KAMLOOPS — For many wildfire evacuees affected by the flames across the Interior, finding a living space has been difficult.
For those with pets? Even harder.
“The hardest part of the whole situation so far has been having a dog with us,” Clinton resident Brad Painter, told CFJC Today after he fled the flames to Logan Lake. “Most hotels, especially the nicer ones, don’t want a dog on premises.”
