Rosie O’Donnell is setting the record straight about rumors she will permanently replace Jimmy Kimmel on his late-night show. “Ha funny — and completely untrue,” the 64-year-old wrote on Instagram, responding to reports of a supposed “full-time return to late night.” O’Donnell confirmed she is guest hosting Jimmy Kimmel Live! in August but leaves immediately after for Ireland, where her child begins eighth grade. She added, “I’m not interested in doing late night. Daytime, however, would be interesting.” O’Donnell previously hosted the Emmy-winning The Rosie O’Donnell Show from 1996 to 2002. Fans flooded her comments urging a daytime comeback. Her guest hosting week is scheduled for August 17, during Kimmel’s two-month summer break.
