Quarterback Rigler takes reins of hometown Kamloops Broncos
KAMLOOPS — Cole Rigler will always remember his first throw for his hometown Kamloops Broncos, a deep-ball completion to his old high school teammate Hudson Jones on the first play of his B.C. Football Conference career.
“I think that was the game plan since the first practice of the season,” Rigler said. “We were going to come out first play and I was going to take a shot. We’re going to show them that we are here to play.”
The Langley Rams trampled the Broncos 72-1 on July 18 at Hillside Stadium, Rigler’s opening-play bomb to Jones among the few home-team highlights.
