Disney Courting Macaulay Culkin For ‘Home Alone’ Reboot

Macaulay Culkin has reportedly met with Disney to discuss a potential Home Alone reboot. Veteran entertainment journalist Matthew Belloni revealed the news on his podcast The Town, saying Disney is “salivating” over the prospect. “They are courting him like nobody’s business,” Belloni said, adding that Disney is offering Culkin a separate passion project as a sweetener. Belloni noted the franchise ranks among the top-streamed holiday titles annually, making a reboot “gigantic” for the studio. Culkin, 45, previously teased his own concept at a 35th anniversary screening — a story where his grown-up Kevin gets locked out by his own trap-setting son. No deal has been confirmed.
