AAP will decide on borrowing for Kamloops RCMP headquarters
KAMLOOPS — Kamloops voters will have another assent decision to look forward to in the new year – once again via the controversial alternative approval process (AAP).
After a 5-4 vote of councillors at a Committee of the Whole meeting Tuesday (July 28), voters will have the opportunity to weigh in on borrowing $160 million to fund a new RCMP headquarters.
The AAP will be held in the first quarter of 2027, once a new council is elected and in place.
