Tom Holland Vomits On ‘Hot Ones, Will Do All Dancing In Fred Astaire Biopic
Tom Holland is preparing for his most demanding role yet — portraying legendary dancer Fred Astaire in an upcoming biopic. Currently promoting both The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Holland says he’s already begun rehearsals. “I’ve got so much work to do to try and do Fred proud,” he told George Stephanopoulos on Good Morning America. That means “no doubles, to do all of the dancing [myself], to shoot those dances in one shot — how he would have done it.” Despite getting his start in Billy Elliott The Musical on London’s West End, Holland admits quitting dance afterward remains one of his biggest regrets. The biopic was originally announced five years ago. Story URL
Holland has also become the first guest to vomit on camera during the popular YouTube show Hot Ones. He appeared Thursday alongside Spider-Man: Brand New Day co-star Jon Bernthal. Holland struggled from the first round, drinking large amounts of milk to combat the spice. “That’s battery acid,” he said, later adding, “I feel like I could black out.” After the round ended, Holland began coughing uncontrollably before keeling to the ground. He quickly recovered, insisting producers use the footage. Proud of avoiding a wardrobe disaster, he declared, “Look, Louis Vuitton, I got none of it on my clothes.” Host Sean Evans confirmed it was likely a show first. Story URL
