NorthPaws win opener, lose series to Bells

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops NorthPaws lost their first series following the West Coast League (WCL) All Star break, dropping two of three games to the Bellingham Bells at home over the weekend. 

The NorthPaws started the series with a 6-5 win at Norbrock Stadium Friday (July 17). Pitcher Evan Dugdale allowed one earned run on five hits and four walks while striking out seven batters over five innings. 

From there, the NorthPaws would lose in back-to-back games to the Bells, blowing an early 3-0 en route to an 11-6 loss on Saturday and an 8-0 shutout defeat on Sunday. 

Kamloops falls to 15-24 on the 2026 WCL season, good for second last in the North Division.
