The 2026 FIFA World Cup Final made history Sunday with the tournament’s first-ever halftime show at MetLife Stadium. FIFA extended the halftime break to 30 minutes to accommodate the massive production. Madonna opened with a nightclub-themed medley alongside Brazilian legends Ronaldinho and Ronaldo. BTS, Shakira, Burna Boy, Justin Bieber, and the PS22 Chorus followed, with Coldplay and even Kermit the Frog joining the finale. Despite cramming everything into roughly 11 minutes, the show drew mixed reactions — praised for its scale but criticized for chaotic transitions. The Global Citizen-produced event also supported the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which aims to raise $100 million for children’s education worldwide. Over $50 million has already been raised.
