UPDATE: Heat, air quality warnings issued for Kamloops and area
KAMLOOPS — (UPDATE 2:00 p.m.): A pair of weather alerts are now in effect for parts of the Kamloops area.
Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for the South Thompson, Shuswap, the Lillooet area and the Okanagan Valley. The weather agency says daytime high temperatures will reach the mid-30s C while overnight lows will sit in the high teens from Wednesday (July 15) through to Thursday.
The weather agency also notes that a southerly flow will bring more moisture into the Kamloops area, increasing humidity values.
