UPDATE: New wildfire start near Cache Creek under control

CACHE CREEK, B.C. — (UPDATE 8:00 p.m.): A small wildfire start just outside of Cache Creek is currently under control.

The Cornwall Creek fire is estimated to have reached 0.13 hectares in size. It was sparked Wednesday (July 8) afternoon, burning just west of the Boston Flats area and the Cache Creek Airport.

The BC Wildfire Service already suspects the fire of being caused by human activity.
