RCMP looking to identify suspect who reportedly groped Valleyview liquor store employee
KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP are asking for the public’s help in identifying a sexual assault suspect.
On June 26, RCMP say the suspect entered a liquor store on the 2100-block of Trans Canada Highway East in Valleyview. After cashing out, police say the suspect reportedly reached around the counter and grabbed an employee’s butt before leaving.
“At this point we have been unable to determine whether he got into a vehicle, or departed the parking lot on foot,” S/Sgt. Janelle Shoihet states in a news release issued Tuesday (July 7) morning. “We are releasing a photo in an effort to identify the man and further our investigation.”
The suspect is described as bald man with medium skin between the ages of 40 and 50 years. He was wearing a yellow T-shirt, a blue jacket and grey pants.
