RCMP say threat that led to evacuation of Kamloops courthouse ‘lacks credibility’, but investigation still ongoing
KAMLOOPS — UPDATE (4:00 p.m.): An unspecified threat that led to the evacuation of the Kamloops Law Courts Monday (July 6) is still being investigated, but police say it “lacks credibility.”
The courthouse was evacuated just before 9:30 a.m. out of an abundance of caution and people were asked to avoid the area.
“Investigators have now cleared from the Kamloops Law Courts,” Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Dana Napier said. “The investigation continues, however, at this time the threat lacks credibility.”
