CSRD opens new section of trail between Mara and Grindrod
SALMON ARM, B.C. — A new 14 kilometre section of the Splatsin te Secwépemc/Shuswap North Okanagan Rail Trail between Mara and Grindrod is now open, along with a new parking lot in Mara.
The Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) said about 32 kilometres of trail are available across three sections: Sicamous to Grindrod, the Enderby–Splatsin pilot section, and the Armstrong–Lansdowne Road segment.
The CSRD will host a public ribbon-cutting celebration for the Mara–Grindrod section on July 17 at 3 p.m. at the Mara Trailhead.
Dogs must remain on a leash and horses are not allowed on the trail.
