UPDATE: Highway 1 near Chase reopen following vehicle incident

CHASE, B.C. — UPDATE (3:30 p.m.): Drive BC said the Highway is clear and traffic is flowing along Highway 1 once again.

EARLIER: Drivers along Highway 1 can expect delays west of Chase on Saturday (June 27), as first responders are on the scene of a vehicle incident.

Drive BC said the accident has the highway closed for 13.5 kilometres between Pinantan Rd and Shuswap Chase Creek.

Drivers will be directed to take a detour while an assessment is in progress.
