100 Mile House ER to close Sunday
100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — The emergency room at 100 Mile District General Hospital will be closed for 13 hours on Sunday (June 28), marking the 21st ER closure this year.
Interior Health said services will be unavailable from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, but all other inpatient service will be available in the meantime.
Those seeking emergency care can go to the Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake during the closure, which is an hour-long drive away.
“People in the community who need life-threatening emergency care (i.e., chest pains, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding) should always call 911 for transport to the nearest available and appropriate facility,” said Interior Health officials.
