Kamloops RCMP looking for vehicle arson suspect

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP are asking for public assistance in their investigation into a pair of vehicle fires on the North Shore area last week.

RCMP officials said the detachment received a report of two vehicles on fire in the 2300-block of Fleetwood Avenue on Monday, June 15.

The flames damaged a car and a motorhome before Kamloops Fire Rescue attended to snuff out the blaze.

Kamloops RCMP said the fire was deemed suspicious and officers are looking for a potential suspect.

“Investigators have determined that the fire was set deliberately and are asking the public’s help to identify the suspect,” said Cpl. Dana Napier, spokesperson for the Kamloops RCMP detachment.
