Thursday morning collision slows Kamloops traffic

KAMLOOPS — Two people were hospitalized with minor injuries in a collision Thursday morning (June 25), slowing morning commuters to a crawl along Kamloops’ Fortune Drive.

Kamloops RCMP said officers were dispatched to the scene of a two-vehicle collision at the north end of the Overlanders Bridge at around 7:20 a.m.

Police officials said the driver of a late model Subaru was traveling south along Fortune Drive and attempted a U-turn from the outside lane, t-boning a second southbound vehicle.

The drivers of both vehicles were transported to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
