Olivia Rodrigo has made history, joining Beyoncé as the only artists to debut three consecutive studio albums at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, each producing at least one Hot 100 chart-topper. Rodrigo’s third album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, opened at No. 1 with a personal-best 485,000 equivalent album units in its first week, according to Luminate. Lead single “Drop Dead” previously debuted at No. 1 on the Hot 100. Rodrigo previously topped both charts with Sour in 2021 and Guts in 2023. Beyoncé achieved the same feat with Dangerously in Love, B-Day, and I Am…Sasha Fierce between 2003 and 2009. Notable acts including The Beatles and Mariah Carey have narrowly missed the milestone.
