KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP are seeking information to identify a pair of suspects believed to be involved in graffiti tagging on a mural in the downtown area.

Police said the detachment received the report on Sunday (June 14) of graffiti that had been spray painted on an exterior wall of a building in the 200-block of 4th Avenue.

RCMP officials believe the incident happened some time overnight on June 12, and investigators have since obtained surveillance footage and images of two suspects they believed were involved in the incident.

According to police, the mural sustained significant damage, with repair costs estimated between $1,500 and $2,000.

The first suspect is described as a wearing dark clothing, including their hooded jacket and footwear, and carrying what police believe to be spray pain.

The second suspect is described as wearing a dark hooded sweater, shorts, socks and shoes, and carrying a white tote bag with a large graphic on the side.

“Investigators are asking anyone who recognizes either individual, or who may have information related to this incident, to contact police,” said Staff Sergeant Andy Lot, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson.

Anyone with information can contact Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2026-19040, or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
