LAC LA TACHE, B.C. — The Lac La Hache Library will be closed this summer to accommodate renovations on the building.

The Cariboo Regional District (CRD) said the closure is expected to begin in late June and continue to about two months while work is underway.

“The improvements are being undertaken as part of a broader project within the building and require the temporary closure of the library space,” said the CRD.

During the closure, library users can visit neighbouring communities, such as 100 Mile House and Forest Grove.

“Library cards valid at all Cariboo Regional District library branches, making it easy to borrow and return materials at any location,” said CRD officials.

“Residents can also continue to access digital resources through the library system, including eBooks, audiobooks, online learning resources, research databases, and other online services.”

The CRD said it will provide updates on the closure and reopening timeline will be shared as information becomes available.

“The Cariboo Regional District appreciates the public’s patience and understanding while these improvements are completed.”

“The renovations will help ensure the facility continues to provide a welcoming and functional space for library users for years to come.”
