NorthPaws win back-to-back series, take two of three from Sweets
KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops NorthPaws have won back-to-back series.
After completing a three-game sweep of the Port Angeles Lefties earlier in the week, the NorthPaws took two of three games from the Walla Walla Sweets of Washington State over the weekend. Kamloops got things going with a 9-5 win from Norbrock Stadium Friday (June 12).
On Saturday, the NorthPaws held the Sweets to one hit over nine innings in a 1-0 shutout victory. Slugger Kade Crawford hit his fifth home run of the season to get the NorthPaws their only run of the game. On the pitching side, Jack Dickinson struck out four and only allowed a hit and a walk over five scoreless innings, while Cade Bridges struck out three over three scoreless and Chase Demmler earned the save.
However, the NorthPaws’ five-game win streak would come to an end Sunday with an 8-5 loss to the Sweets.
