UPDATE: missing Kelowna man found deceased

LAKE COUNTRY, B.C. — UPDATE (June 14): A 32-year old Kelowna man who has been missing since Tuesday, June 9 was found deceased.

“Police do not suspect criminality, and the investigation has been turned over to the BC Coroners Service,” said a statement from Lake Country RCMP.

“The Lake Country RCMP wishes to thank the public for their assistance and extend their condolences to the family during this difficult time.”

Six members of Kamloops Search and Rescue were aiding search efforts, led by Central Okanagan Search and Rescue.

EARLIER (June 13): Members of Kamloops Search and Rescue (KSAR) are aiding in the search for a missing 32-year-old Kelowna man in the Lake Country area.

Central Okanagan Search and Rescue (COSAR), leading the search, is looking for the man with the help of SAR teams from Kamloops Salmon Arm, Merritt, Vernon, Penticton, and Grand Forks.

He was last seen on Tuesday June 9, and COSAR said the man’s vehicle was found on Pelmewash Way, south of Vernon, on Friday (June 12).
