Barriere Health Centre gets new X-ray suite

BARRIERE, B.C. — A newly refurbished X-ray suite and technologist workspace at the Barriere Health Centre is now giving patients in the North Thompson area easier access to enhanced medical imaging.

Interior Health said the upgrades replaced aging equipment with a new digital imaging system, with better image quality and faster turnaround times.

“This upgrade goes beyond new equipment,” said Jill Sinton, Interior Health imaging program director.

“With this new suite, our care teams will be able to provide an enhanced patient experience and the community has greater access to reliable diagnostic imaging services. We look forward to delivering faster, safer and more efficient imaging services for the Barriere community with this state-of-the-art technology.”
